Steinberg Communications is led by Adam Steinberg, a trusted communications advisor to CEOs and high-profile individuals.
Adam is currently both the Director of Communications to the CEO of XNRGY, a leading AI data center cooling company and the Head of Communications at Safanad, a principal-led investment firm that builds world-class businesses.
Most recently, Adam led international PR and corporate communications for Pony.ai, one of the world’s leading autonomous driving companies. Pony.ai operates fully driverless, public-facing robotaxi service in all four of China’s Tier-1 Cities. While Adam was at Pony.ai, the company listed on NASDAQ in November 2024. During his time at Pony.ai, the company also received extensive global media coverage in media outlets such as CNBC, Reuters, Bloomberg and more. The company also received accolades such as being named #10 on the 2022 CNBC Disruptor List. The company was named the #12 Private Deep Tech Company in the World in the inaugural 2023 XPRIZE and Bessemer Venture Partners XB100 list. The company’s Co-Founder and CEO was also named to Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Silicon Valley Power 100 list in 2024.
Prior to Pony.ai, Adam spent nearly five years at VIPKid leading international PR. In 2018, while Adam was at VIPKid, the company was the world’s most valuable edtech startup ($3B valuation). During his time as PR Director, VIPKid received extensive media coverage and CEO profiles in The Financial Times, Fast Company, Bloomberg Technology with Emily Chang, Business Insider and more. The company also received numerous global accolades including being named the #29 Most Innovative Company in the World by Fast Company in its Top 50 list of the World's Most Innovative Companies.
Adam also held PR agency roles at several leading global PR agencies including at Edelman and Weber Shandwick.
Adam led the Beijing office of leading UK financial PR agency Citigate Dewe Rogerson where he supported a number of world-class global financial clients. In one client work example, in September 2016, Adam led media interviews for the opening day of Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University.
Adam was an Associate Director at Weber Shandwick where he launched the financial communications practice in the Beijing office. Adam worked on behalf of a number of real estate and financial firms.
Earlier in his career, Adam was Director of PR and Special Events at ASC Fine Wines, China’s leading fine wine importer. Adam helped lead the first visit of wine legend, Robert M. Parker, to China, including a black-tie wine dinner in Beijing.
Adam earned his MBA from CKGSB, the top private business school in China. He earned his BA in East Asian Studies from UC Davis.
